5 STAR WOODLANDS KEEP PRESSURE ON AT THE TOP

LAST GASP SANCTUARY ARE KING OF THE CASTLE

Woodlands moved level on points with top Team BSXI after a 5-1 demolishing of Pip N Jay, Ieuan 2, Dave P, Andy B and Joe Mitchell the scorers . Thornbury got back to winning ways with a tight 1-0 win against Counterslip. Nailsea eased their relegation fears with a 2-1 win against BUCU and Santos moved off of the bottom with a 4-1 win against the in form Christchurch. The Sanctuary went top of the First Division again with a last minute winner against Welton a double from Ricky Bush cancelled out Welton's early goal. Hillfields slide down the table continued with a 2-0 loss to C3. Rock leaped frogged Hillfields with a tight 2-1 win over BS4. Hayhill kept there revival going winning 3-2 against Israel to make it three wins from three.

HOLDERS ON COURSE TO RETAIN THE CUP AS BIG FOUR MAKE THE SEMI FINALS 22/11

BRICK WALL NOT HIGH ENOUGH AS WELTON GET BACK ON TRACK 22/11

Holders Woodlands made the cup semi finals with a comprehensive 4-0 win against Pip N Jay, 2 goals each fro Dave P and Ieuan. They will be joined by shield holders Widcombe who beat 2nd Division outfit C3 4-1 and Christchurch who kept up their impressive revival with a 2-1 against Thornbury, BSXI made the next round courteously of a 3-0 walkover v Rock. Welton upset the odds to beat a weakened Nailsea team and make the semi finals winning 2-1 away. Hillfields won comfortably 4-1 v BS4 a double each for Luke and Daz Q with Ian Chappell replying in the last minute on his Birthday. Widcombe made it 3 from 4 Div 2 teams winning 5-3 at Israel and BUCU will be the only 1st Division representatives winning 4-2 against The Sanctuary.

SAS GUNNING FOR TOP SPOT AFTER BIG WIN 22/11

After missing out on playing for the past few weeks Counterslip finally got a game and a win beating Santos 5-1 with 2 goals from Spring, a a goal a piece for Rory, Nathan and Dan Flynn. Slip will hope the win will push them on to repeat the successful season they had last season. SAS made it 16 goals in two games winning 9-1 at Pistols, the win means they'll go top of the table ahead of the Sanctuary who have 2 games in hand. Hayhill made it two wins in two with a last minute win against Gordano winning 3-2.

FELL SCORES ON DEBUT AS HILLFIELDS MOVE UP TO SECOND 8/11

Woodlands dominated against Nailsea to win 4-0 an own goal and goals from Baynton, Mitchell and Peregrine ensured they went second in the table, joint on points with champions BSXI but Woodies have a game in hand. After a slow star Thornbury are starting to find some form and moved  up fourth with a convincing 4-1 win against BUCU. Christchurch pulled off a shock score line to beat Widcombe W 4-0 and move themselves up to fifth. Counterslip and Pip n Jay was postponed. Hillfields new signing, keeper Dan Fell scored on his debut as manager Rich gave him a run outfield in an 8-1 victory versus Gordano, Hillfields other scorers were, Christy 2, Joe, Dim, James, Rycroft Jnr and Rycroft snr. The big game of the day was SAS v Sanctuary, an early red card for Sanctuary put pay to them holding onto their 100% record but they did hold out for a hard fought draw, Dan Turrell scoring Sanctuary's goal. Rock put their nightmare loss last week behind them with a tight 1-0 victory a penalty from Freeman. BS4 also kept up there momentum moving up to third with a good 2-1 over C3. Widcombe v Kensington and Pistols v Israel were postponed.

SANCTUARY DEAL OUT A ROCK LANDSLIDE

GOOD DAY IN THE GFA AS BRISTOL CHURCHES DOMINATE

Division 2 leaders The Sanctuary slammed down their intentions to win promotion by beating early season favourite Rock 8-1, goals from Ricky Bush scoring 3 Joe Lee 2 Ugar Bocu 2 and Dan Turrell scoring for Sanctuary. Widcombe moved up to second with a 4-1 win over BS4, Hillfields won 1-0 against Hayhill with an 88th minute winner by James Corfield the win moves them up to 3rd and secured their fifth win  in a row. Bristol Pistols moved off the bottom with a 3-3 draw at C3 and Welton lost their 4th game in a row losing 3-0 at Kensington.

Four out of 6 teams progressed to next round of the GFA Cup. Woodlands, Slip, Santos and Thornbury all winning. SAS and Pip n Jay were knocked out.

On 8th November BSXI also progress to the next round of the GFA cup winning a tough contest 4-3 against Brislington Cricketers.

Quarterfinal draw of Shield

In the 1st Division BSXI won 4-3 against BUCU to move to the top of the division not something their championship rivals will like seeing. There were some interesting ties for the quarterfinals of the shield with The Sanctuary against 1st Division outfit BUCU. Other ties saw Ian Chappell's BS4 take on his former club Hillfields. Israel v Widcombe and Nailsea v Welton. Games are to be played on 22nd November.
